Swelling in right labia opening, worse after pelvic exam

A week or two ago I noticed a small lump near my vaginal opening. It was very small and painless but I kept trying to take pictures of it which probably led to irritation. it's under the skin and therefore not visible. On Tuesday the spot began to feel tender so I made an appointment for Wednesday morning by which time I started to feel more pain. The doctor examined me and made note of the lump on my labia but also penetrated the inside of my vagina which was very painful and since then the lump has gotten more swollen and painful when walking or sitting. there's still no visible marks, no blisters, no burning when I pee but it has caused me great discomfort. I also tested negative for chlamydia and gonorrhea and was prescribed antibiotics. because of the pain however, I made an appointment with a gynecologist. do you think this could be a cyst or something worse.
