Hello Everybody, i am new on this forum. I have this swelling (boil) under my tongue although not causing me pain. It goes down sometimes then begins to swell again. I used salt and water and it seems to reduce it. I dnt know if i can upload a picture
There could be several reasons that can cause this right from depression to medications. Even your diet can play a role in it. If you've recently eaten something very sugary, salty or acidic, bumps may form in the mouth, this can lead to those bumps. Other causes could be bacterial or yeast infection. The infection generally begins in the gums before spreading to a tongue and medication may be required to clear up the problem. Have you tried home remedies? Home remedies for boils on tongue are nothing but our own forgotten kitchen groceries and garden herbs. Chew four to five basil leaves daily and drink water. If possible, intake of basil leaves should be done on empty stomach.
Alternatively, it could be because you're not producing thin enough saliva and should drink lots of water and sucking on sour drops that will produce plenty of saliva - every day. If you are repeatedly getting this, consulting a mouth specialist would be helpful.
Wow! I'm really very grateful for your reply. I must say it put my mind at rest. Depression? I must say recently i have been feeling bored and tired of the same ol routine. Once again thank you for your response.
Hello! Please is it possible i send you a picture of what it looks like so we can be on the same page?
