I have been taking these supplements for about 4 years and recently not really helping and tried to stop but bad withdrawls. I went and got Lexapro but doc said try to wait a week before taking. I have heard that St John's is considered a weak version. I was seeing if I can just make the switch in 24 hours or if anyone has done this?
It would be wrong to look at Natural Remedies as not powerful, many drugs can find their way back to earlier times where they may have only been the only way of treating an associated illness. It is important you treat these medications with the greatest respect and your GP knows that and is treating you accordingly.
You can both overdose on natural remedies and also effect the side effects of other marked medications, I would follow your GP instructions. Personally I would allow a longer period of time for coming of above. I would look more at the period of time I was on the Health Shop medications, However I would also bend to your GP s suggestion

Hi the last thing that I would want is more side effects or to harm my body. When taking supplements from health food stores I don't think they are monitored. Me I go with the experts. I would follow doctors orders and hopefully have a safe transistion. Good luck. Diane.
Dear Long
My doctors don’t believe in those types of supplements. They just put me on antidepressants because I was in such bad condition.
Ask your doctor what you should do. I’m so sorry that you are going through this. It is frustrating and so hard to deal with.
Always seek professional help when you have questions regarding medications.
Best of luck
