has anyone switched to prozac and any side effects
i am tappering of sertraline after 6 months of hell
Hi I had 7 months of sert keept thinking it would eventually work but like you had a hellish time and eventualy couldnt stand being a zomibie anymore so I weaned off it under doctor advice and instructions, 2 weeks later felt my symptoms anxiety and depression coming back. Went on Prozac, first week one every 2 ddays then one a day now on day 15. First week was ok a bit of nausea and listlessness, but not too bad, i was functioning reasonably well. Gradually as increased to one 20mg a day the ses have got worse and today I woke up feeling awful, stayed in bed feeling nauseus and zombie like, slept until 3pm. Made myself get up and could only make it to sofa. now 6.30pm and feeling slightly better. Ive already taken my pill today. Really wishing I hadnt in a way, but everything I read says I should stick with it, I did that with Sertraline, stuck with it and it never balanced out. Anyway now I just see this is an old post, so probably you have already decided! To some extent it seems everyone has different reactions, I guess its just try it and see what happens. Ifeel like Im between a rock and a hard place. cant cope with ssris and cant cope without them. Good luck.
