Just thought I would post on these car seat cushions that swivel to allow easy access and raise the height of the driver's seat so the the 90 degree rule is adhered to. There are quite a selection ranging in price from about £10 on up, on a well known online site. They would come in very handy when the six week rule against driving ends, and post oppers are still a little apprehensive about getting in and out of the driver's seat.

Another tip......{it doesnt raise you up} is a plastic bag on the seat.
That certainly helps you swivel round easily {being very ladylike} LOL and keeping your legs at the 90 degree angle
Also you can self refer to an OT and mine gave me a cushion which lasted for about 5 or 6 years, then she replaced it {got to admit the 2nd one wasnt quite the same or as good} but thats for nothing and a plastic bag,.,,.well now it is 5p LOL when I got the tip they were nothing

I was given a 'slide sheet' by the hospital first time around - whatever you use, it is very useful for getting settled into a car.
I used a thick cushion off our Setee in a strong bin liner. It gave me the height and swivel perfectly and didn't cost anything
