Swollen knees & ankles

Been on it for about 2 months.... started off with burning sensation around knees, now my ankles are swollen (not drastically, but enough to limit movement). I'm 40 years old & active I I can tell that my movement has become alot slower sice being on this medication. I'm stopping it.

I have burning knees, swollen feet and legs too.

I was diagnosed with single vessel heart disease recently - and put on Amlodipine plus other drugs. My GP took me off Amlodipine after a few weeks as my feet, ankles and legs started to swell - retain fluid. Which is not much good for anyone with heart disease. I have not had any replacement drug but would recommend speaking to a medic - or even phoning/emailing the manufacturer to see what they say!! :o

Iam 49 and was prescribed Amlodipine 5mg then quickly increased to 10mg a day. After 6-8 weeks I had the same buring sensation just above my knees which has gradually become worse with both the lower legs and ankles swelling. When I phoned to get a GP appoinment (yesterday 18th April) I was told I couldn't be seen until 3rd May, more than two weeks away as it wasn't urgent! Stressing pain in the knee joints and a worsening condition, I felt it was urgent. A GP called me back and suggested I left with my feet up! I'm 49 NOT 89! I work - all day! This drug is awful, also causing hot flushing and disturbed sleep pattern. The GP suggested I call each morning to see if I can get an urgent evening appoint for that day - today, day 1, no luck! I've already reduced from 10mg to 5mg, I can't manage with hot, swollen legs etc.
