SWOLLEN LYMPH NODE. HEALTH ANXIETY.

Ok so about a week ago, i went to my ENT office to follow up on something. A couple of days after i was applying lotion on my neck and felt a lymph node right under my jaw/center chin area. It feels about the size of a small grape?? I don’t know what’s normal and what’s not. It’s visible if you look at it. one side is more protruding than the other. Im so mad i didnt notice it sooner so i could have brought it up. Well, since then I can’t stop touching it and comparing it to the other size: I really think it’s swollen and IDK WHY. i don’t have any cold or any other symptom. the other side is not visible and you cant really feel it and this side you can feel it if i extend my neck straight up When I went to my ENT office, he did a quick check of my neck. i guess it’s routine? i don’t know. But it was super fast. but i think he may have missed this spot because i didnt extend my neck upwards I’m wondering if it was this size the day off? What if the ENT missed this specific location of my neck and he didn’t feel this swollen lymph node. I don’t remember if he checked towards the center/jaw area of my neck. or just the other neck. My mind is going crazy and i have been crying every day and i keep feeling the little lump. Guys plz help. suffer from health anxiety for almost 2 years and everyday is something new. :( My biggest fear is obviously the dreaded C word and lymphoma. I have convinced myself that this is what i have now. Anyone else have swollen lymph nodes for a long time and they’re ok? Why can i feel/see it so easily.

keep in mind that the vast majority of time swollen lymph nodes are not usually a reason to worry. They are all over our body .
The lymph nodes on either side of the neck, under the jar, or behind the ears commonly swell when you have a virus of some sort. you may not even know that you have a virus. Even if you’re not showing any symptoms, the body is always searching for and fighting off even the smallest of viruses.
i have had swollen lymph nodes in my neck on both sides, one side, in the groin nodes, under my armpits, etc. And that was decades ago. I am very healthy. My kids used to get swollen nodes when they had an ear infection or sometimes for no apparent reason.
you can apply a warm compress to the lymph node to see if that helps. If it doesn’t go away in a reasonable amount of time, for your peace of mind contact your doctor and have them check it out.
remember there is a saying that goes …Dont Believe everything you think. That is so true! Just because you’ve convinced yourself it’s something bad absolutely does not mean it’s true. When we convince ourselves of the worst case scenario, that is not based on fact or reality. It’s only based on fear which he has no credibility at all.you’re going to be OK!

I know exactly how you feel , lymphoma is my biggest fear with my health anxiety and I’m always checking for lumps and bumbs :sob: i have 2 in my groin that have been there for years, i notice they sometimes get bigger after shaving especially if I have a shaving rash. but these ones never completely go , they are about the size of a bean if say (although the more i prod them the bigger I think they feel)

I also had 1 in the side of my neck a few months ago which I completely freaked out about (I had an infection at the time but it took weeks to go) from what I’ve been told if they are soft and move when you touch them , this usually is a good sign. Please try not to worry (easier said than done as I’m the biggest worrier ever) maybe for peace of mind go to the doctors in a week if it’s still not not down.
