ive noticed for the past month, possibly longer that my underarm felt sore and tender, so i finally went to the doctor yesterday and he said that he thinks i have a swollen lymph node, it’s a bit smaller than a pea and doesnt move when i touch it. i had a blood test and am waiting for the results, so in the meantime of course im stressing out about it. i dont seem to have any other symptoms along with it, has anyone else experienced this? im 29 weeks pregnant, not sure if that makes a difference or not
If its giving you pain, you dont have to worry about it.
- I used to get a swollen lymph node in my armpits all the time. It was from shaving irritation! haha. Once I started using cleaner razors and better shave cream it stopped. Lymph nodes always tend to be associated with illness and serious health concerns, but in reality they can swell for the most minor reasons. Any kind of skin irritation or inflammation can make them swell.
- Another example, I have had some swollen lymph nodes under my jaw that come and go and my Dr thinks it is the acne on my face causing it. I had an ultrasound and blood work and everything is completely normal. It does seem to be related bc the lymph nodes disappear and then when I have a bad breakout they all swell up again. So odd that something as simple as acne could cause them to react, but apparently so lol

hi again, did you ever get sent for a scan for your lymph nodes? the blood test came back okay but i’m being sent for an ultrasound scan to hopefully rule out anything worse causing it
Yes! I’ve had an ultrasound and an MRI over the course of the last year. Everything always comes back normal thankfully, still annoying tho that they seem to come and go =(
