hello. I’ve noticed recently a lentil sized lump on my penile shaft that moves around when in touch it, I made a little research and it appears to be a swollen lymph node, I’m only 13 and have never had sex before, does anybody know if it will go away on it’s own or if it’s something serious?
Hi, I am not entirely sure that lymph nodes actually exist in the penis itself - what you most likely have is a penile cyst or a simple lump or bump that most males get from time to time within the main body (shaft) of the penis.
More that likely it will fade away and you will no longer feel or notice it. What you need to do:
- do not aggravate it in any way
- look out for growth in the size of it (gently feel)
- check to see if you get several more similar growths
If you become seriously concerned about any changes or what is is that is going on the only way to deal with this is to go see your Family Doctor or GP - if you are really concerned about anything related to your health you need to tell those close to you (family etc) what is happening! (even though that may be very embarrassing to do!!!)
