I woke up with an aching neck and when I yawn or chew or something, I get a pain under my jaw. I have GERD and I get occasional sore throats. It feels like I have a ball of mucus in my throat. Is the swollen nodes because of my sore throat ? I never gotta pain in my neck with previous sore throats. I’ve gotten a thyroid function in September of last year and that was normal. What can this be?
I'm the same. I have Gerd and at the moment my lymph nodes in my neck are swallon and it's hard to swallon but I can eat and drink fine. I have been getting nausea too. I also have fluid in my ears so my jaw clicks and I grind my teeth.
It's so uncomfortable. I have found relief with nurofen and nausea tablets but I'm having an endoscopy next month.
Hope you feel more comfortable soon.
I’ve had a swollen lymph node for 2-3 months. Did an ultrasound and while nothing shows cancerous based on appearance, doc sent me to ENT for biopsy since it’s a little larger than normal.
Saw ENT and she said it’s too small to biopsy with a needle and asked if I have reflux. To which I said yes; and it’s been aweful for months.
While she seems positive this is why my node is larger (bad reflex can also contribute to mini infections in nose) she wants to do CT to make sure no other undetectable nodes are up.
I feel quite relieved and plan to CT as well as diet and exercise and get the reflux/GERD under control.
I am having similar problem. My doctor is thinking that could be because my weight gain and stress. How would you describe your bmi and stress level ?
