Don't know if anyone is experiencing problems with their stomach that was diagnosed as IBS. I have 2 swollen lymph nodes revealed by a ct scan a year ago, after a second scan they are still there. I went for my results at the NHS hospital but they were not concerned about them there but when I saw a private doctor he wanted to test them a whip them out. My stomach is raw, its so sore, I have messenteric panniculitis also and I think gastritis.
My problem is bile going into the stomach which is giving me so much trouble. This all started after taking ant acids 2 years ago, I was well until I went on them. I'm scared now that it may be cancer as he also felt a lump in my stomach. Anyone else with these problems? Its not IBS apparently, the problem in my bowel is caused by ant acids. My Dr said that they have caused all my problems. I'm really getting scared now.
How much antacids were you taking daily? Must have been a whole lot if it caused so much problems. Have you thought about traveling out of your country for another opinion?
I was on 40mg of omeprazole, then put up to 80mg with 300mg ranitidine. My hair started falling out, had liver problems also iron deficiency so came off omeprazole and burnt like crazy. I can't afford to go to another country and I wouldn't know where to go. Frankly I can't travel with all this pain. I still take ranitidine as I can't fully come off them without rebounding more, its a vicious circle.
Hi Mutley,
Sounds like your going thro a hard time. A friend of mine suffered as you do, it was discovered that she had Helicobacter Pylori..H.Pylori for short burrowing into her stomach wall causing continuous acid reflux. It is a spiral shaped bacteria that lives in the stomach and duodenum. You have to have a stool test to see if you have it then a course of antibiotic to get rid of it. It is hard to get rid of because as previously mentioned it burrows into the stomach wall and duodenum by using its flagella and its spiral shape to burrow. It would be a good idea if you were tested for it. Hope this helps..best wishes..
