swollen painful big toe on first digit..post Scarf Bunionectomy

Hi I'm just wondering if anyone else is struggling with painful swelling of big toe and upper part of foot after nearly four months. I struggled to get foot ware but have now found an expensive pair of Sketcher furry boots.

If I massager the first digit of my big toe its as if something clicks in there ..Maybe its a capsule or tissue healing ? Just like to know what to expect.

I am also four months post op and my feet are still quite swollen and sore and yes my big toe also clicks when massaged! So I think it is quite normal. Surgeon said it can take up to a year but mostly people are ok by six months.
