Hi. For about 4 weeks i have been experiencing some soreness and pain in my Meatus. Had tests for STD's etc but all came back clear. Also had Doxycycline for a week, no difference. I saw a urologist last week who tested my prostate and says that it seems inflamed and has prescribed Cipro for 4 weeks. Im really scared to take this drug as the side effects sound horrendous. Has anyone been on them? Interestingly i dont have pain when urinating but it always feels uncomfortable and irritated, and visually looks red and a little swollen.
im allergic to penacillin so i take cipro almost anytime i nerd an antibiotic it causes some stomach upset but thats it
