i have been having a pretty constant ache low in my low left abdomen/ pelvis. The pain can be also sort of twinges. It is not severe. Sometimes I also get some low central pelvic ache and low back ache but the pain is specifically in the low left area. As it started at the same time as I had a few loose bowel movements I thought it might be diverticula disease but those have resolved now. I seem to be better when I am walking but I feel a heaviness in my left leg at times. My surgery has in itself patients to participate in Ada assessments where you download the app and input your symptoms. My report came back that it might be AAA, which is scary and as advised in the report, I will call the doctor tomorrow. But I am interested to learn what symptoms other members had, please.
The same symptoms you had are attributable to AAA or IBS or bone pain caused by hematological disorders.
For checking out AAA, you might need to do an ultrasound or CT scan and find out about the size of the aneurysm.
With AAA you tend not to get symptoms until very late on and it is more of a mans problem that a womans. That is why in the UK there is a national screening programme for men over 65.
I have an appointment this morning so will update later. Thanks for the responses.
Saw the doctor. She sent me for blood tests and thereafter will order an ultrasound and colonoscopy.
