Hi I had IOL Synergy J & J surgery more than three months ago. My near and far vision is great and happy with that but...but after surgery up to 6 weeks I was seeing halos and ring at day and night. After started to improve. At day almost gone and improving at night specially green and amber light ring became very light. and suddenly just two weeks before went back to two months before vision for halos and ring specially night. Now I am scared My surgeon told two months before if you are not able to tolerate it need to be changed with Mono lenses. Now I am taking second opinion with other Surgeon. and I am seeing my Current Surgeon in early December. Anyone had similar issue and have improved vision for Night halos and ring?? As every Surgeon writing about nuero adaptability and it may different for everyone. if this is the case should I wait for to adapt this or think to change lenses.

Good Luck. I have the Tecnis MF in one eye and plan on getting the Tecnis Synergy in the other eye. Dysphotopsias IMHO are part of getting a diffractive IOL. Everyone is different and some people’s are so bad they cannot take it.
I see the halos at night but it is a tradeoff I am OK with to get close vision.
If you had a monofocal in one eye and Synergy in the other eye then maybe you get some nuero adaptability whereby the brain picks the best image.
In time you get used to them and just don’t notice them so much, but if you stop and think about it they are there.
