Has anyone had synvisc injected into their knee and had it make your ur knee worse? I had it injected into both knees in August and the right knee is great but the left knee is 100% worse and is very sore and hard to bend. My surgeon that did it gave me a cortisone injection to see if it settled it down, which it did for a couple of weeks but now it's back to extreme pain again.
Just wondering if if this has happened to anyone else.
How long did the surgeon say you would have relief for??
I'm hoping for something similar in mine
He said six months to a year.
Did the injections feel any different??
How many times can they inject your knees??
Sorry for the interrogation
It just felt weird going in. The cortisone works for the first few weeks then the gel kicks in. That is when my left knee starting hurting very badly.
Have you had it to delay a knee replacement or follow up arthroscopies??
I'm seeing the doctor next Monday but the reception told me there is a small tear in the medial meniscus.
I don't want another arthroscopy and I'm too young for a TKR, so I've been told
I'm too young they say. He won't do it for five years
I've read some negative stories on this site and a bloke I work with had a TKR at 50 and he doesn't move too well.
It's a bit off putting!!!
How come both of your knees are shot??
Weight mostly I think. I did have a bad fall and lanes on my knees 15 years ago which could be a contributing factor
I have a friend who had a knee replaced and he's moving just fine.
How active is your friend??
I've given up on ever running again but I'd like to start hill walking once more and carry on cycling
He doesn't have a vehicle so he walks everywhere.
