I have been taking cipramil (escitalopram) 20mg on and off for 4 years. My doctor changed my meds to Valdoxan recently. I told him I like to have wine and asked if it was safe to continue drinking wine on valdoxan, considering they are very hard on your liver and he said it was ok but not to go too crazy. I am only on Valdoxan a week and I feel great, withdrawals from escitalopram were awful but i am ok now. Sorry for long post but just wondering if anyone drinks alcohol on valdoxan, I had wine last Saturday so I skipped my dose for fear i was damaging my liver. I have some social events coming up and dont know what to do. Advice would be so appreciated, thank you in advance
Hi I'm on quite bad meds for various issues and I drink every night,which I know is bad but I take milk thistle and rhubarb complex which helps liver and detox. I'm not advocating you should drink, maybe Google med to see what it says.
Thanks so much for replying, that is good to know. I did Google it and it says no way to drink alcohol but alot of anxiety meds say that. It is all so confusing, thanks again
