Hi, so i had this white tip since something like new year, it kind of got bigger, thats when i called the doctor about 3 weeks ago. In uk doctor appointments are done over the phone now, so i sent him few pictures and he said it looks like fungal infection so he prescribed me some cream, however i am applying it now for two weeks and it doesnt seem to do much, does anyone have any idea whats going on here, starting to get scary

Hi, you should contact your doctor again as it hasn’t improved to me it looks like it could be lichen sclerosus or BXO if it is this you will need treatment with steroid cream. you should get a referral to a urologist or dermatologist straight away.
Okay, I have Lichen Sclerosus (BXO) and I do not think that is what you have.
What the doctor is doing is trying the initial treatment that may resolve the issue - they find it best to use a progressive process, if something did not produce ‘a fix’ they may try something else or refer you to a specialist. Of course, access to specialist are not what it was pre-COVID.
My suggestion would be to find the largest sexual health service provider in the area in which you live and phone them and say you have this issue with your penile skin and how can you get it checked.
The other source of help in the UK are GUM Clinics, most of these are based at General Hospitals - again, if you know which is the largest general hospital in the region in which you live and they have a GUM Clinic, phone them.
