My GA seems to have started after a TB test..anyone else? Finding the "cure" needs to begin with finding the cause (I believe the disease may have different causes).... Any comments?
What kind of test is it for TB? would you mind telling me your age? mine started in menopause and possibly from mercury teeth fillings. I am still researching and am convinced it is from the inside so cream and ointments are useless.
Thoughts?
Hi the Tuberculosis skin test is what I was referring to. My age is 53 and my rash started in October 2013. I had the TB test in September of 2013.

Thanks for the info Julie - Many problems seem to start at menopause - probably related to hormones one way or the other. Hopefully we will be able to find the cause of this disease once and for all.

I will let you know about the antibiotic treatment in the meantime I have been taking plaqinil for the past 3 months I have not noticed any improvement. I am going to take 3 to 5 mg a day (from online RX) of prednisone if nothing works and my doctor won't prescribe it. I was told by a rheumatologist that 5 mg per day is "safe" I won't let this rash cover my body! If you notice it leaves scars. Ugh!
I believe mine was a result of anti-depression drugs I started taking during my divorce. Quit the drugs but the damage is done. I also developed a Gluten issue (symptoms that I didn't know were that around this time). It runs in my family but I've never been tested. Good Luck! Hope you find the answer that helps you.
