Hi there I'm 17 years old with a lot of chest pain and left arm pain I have been to a cardiologist one month ago and everything was fine they have done chest x-ray blood work ekg and everything was fine I went to my doctor today for my concern of my everyday chest pain she didn't really looked concern she just said it might me that you breath you much or to hard and when she said that I was confused but I guess does anyone know why I get chest pains like I haven't got hurt or anything
Don't want to speculate too much but i once had a similar thing and went to the emergenct room for an EKG which all came back fine, turns out it was acid reflux which can occur without the typical heartburn feeling, perhaps this is the cause. If your doctor isn't too concerned i wouldn't worry too much
Juan, I am responding to your post because I was 17 when my anxiety started. I had a lot of fear about my heart, obsession is the better word. I feared that it would stop beating, and the pains are typical of anxiety. I had several EKGs done and talked to doctors. of course, at that age saying it is just anxiety is difficult to swallow - I didn't know what anxiety was. Sometimes, over-breathing or hyperventilating can cause symptoms, tingling in the arm. It helps if you relax and practice deep-breathing into the stomach cavity. I was put on valium at the time, it would help with general anxiety, but panic attacks were more difficult, I had to learn how to deal with the intensity of those attacks. Read and study about anxiety and the psychosomatic symptoms and try to realize there is a connection between our thinking, bodies, and our social environment. Best wishes.
