I need help.
This is been going for over 1 year now. Have seen many doctors ( and lab work always comes good. They don't know what it could be and in the end they say it is Alopecia areata.
First i get an tender nodule inside the skin. It takes about 2-3 days to fully grow, gets swollen and red. Very painful if i touch it.
After 3 days starts to go down and the hair lost begins.
This repeats every 2-3 weeks at a different location. It travels through out the chin area.
I even did an x-ray and nothing showed.
I don't know what to do anymore or what doctors to see. Every single one says that is weird and maybe stress is causing. It is like whenever they don't know they blame stress.
I started taking cortizone shots and all they do is bring some hair back.
The situation continues to spread on other areas. Once i stop taking the shots the hair started to fall again.
