In a evening from my waist down to where I'm numb my skin feels extremely sensitive (3 wk post TAH with BSO) anyone else had this issue??
My whole scar area and around go really sore at this stage. Keep taking the pain killers. I was just on paracetamol and started taking ibuprofen as well and still do after 6 weeks. Also pain was worst as day went on I think body is trying to tell you that you have done too much. Do some total rest days when you have to lie in bed a lot. Boring but it helps.
Yes that is what I also experienced - in the absence of infection on hindsight I think it was the start of sensation returning. It will generally resolve they tell me by 3 months!
Yes I had It Im sure it is quiet normal, part of the healing process and to do with the nerve endings when they cut through the skin and muscle layers, I an 9 weeks post op and still have the numb skin but no pain. you are stilll very early into your recovery so rest, rest and more rest.
