Tendon pain not improving

hi everyone. It’s been 7 months since my tkr. I was scheduled to have my second knee replaced but just cancelled that because of my first knee surgery. Despite doing specific excersises for my tendons the pain is not improving. Walking stairs is still painful. Has anyone else had this? I’m just hoping it will improve so I can go ahead with the other knee surgery. I’m feeling a bit discouraged. Thanks in advance!!

I had my second TKR in June of this year. I had my left TKR done in July of 2016 with no problems. However, I have now developed severe tendonitis in the knee done this year and am back in PT for it. The PT as well as strong anti-inflammatory prescription seems to be working, slowly, but working. Don't get discouraged. Every knee and every person is different and have different recuperation periods.

Hi Gynna,

I had my left tkr in August and was suppose to have my R one done last month, but canceled it for much the same reason as you did.  I, too, did everything I was suppose to do, but am not advancing as fast as I'd like.  Since everyone's recovery is different, I'm just taking everything in stride and doing what I have to do and having lots of patience!  Time is your best friend and there is no need to be discouraged as you will mend when you knee is ready.  If you've followed many on this forum you will notice that everyone has their own story of recovery and thery are all unique.

I still have swelling and stiffness even though I am faithful with my exercises.  My knee has its own mind as does yours and will let you know when it is time to have your other knee done.  Most docs will tell you it may be a good year before you feel confident with you new knee...then you'll know it's time to start all over again with your other knee.  Good luck and have patience😉

Many blessing for a healthy New Year,

Cherry🍒
