Hi can being contantly tensed cause numbness...and my fibger on my righ hand is tingling...coukd this be becayse of tension and worry xx

I have this too, I put it down to anxiety. The doctor has referred me to a neurologist because I get a lot of headaches and numbness all down one side.

I suffer with anxiety but have also had whiplash a number of times, also been diagnosed with osteoporosis and severe osteo-arthritis of the neck. Not to mention that I have also had surgery on my right wrist for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome!! Sounds like I'm a hypochondriac but I assure you I'm not. I wonder if your local NHS Trust holds a walk in Physio clinic like mine as a visit to them recently actually pin pointed a problem with nerve endings due to the neck problems.

Have a check even if it is due to being tense they can relieve the muscle tension and advise how you can help keep it at bay if that's the cause.
