Tension Headaches

After months of appointments etc, my MRI scan showed two white dots and a tensed muscles around the spine. The neurologist has said to stop taking medication and to start massages, yoga etc. My question is what theraphy is avalable on the NHS so I can ask my GP to refer me?

Your neurologist advice seems like there are things you have to do yourself.

Hi I have fibromyalgia and discs shunted up due to fall. I was advised to do Pilates but with someone who is Physio trained. I used to do Yoga which is great for relaxation techniques as well as exercise but Pilates retrains the brain for correct posture and core strength tho I'm at early stages. You can wait months to get NHS treatment so it's up to you usually. I have a massage every week and it really helps. Fortunately the girl I found, who is excellent by the way, does it cheaper for pensioners and she charges half of what others ask anyway! She wants to help those with chronic pain by making it affordable especially pensioners. Sometimes you can be referred for hydrotherapy or accupuncture if there is trained person on staff. I hope you get relief and find solutions that work. Take care

Thank you. I am not exactly earning alot at the moment glad your feeling better
