Max you will need to get used to the basic dose of your medications

Some will take upwards, five weeks for them to work well.

But I never had these symptoms hallucinations and delusion

Hello Max

Make an appointment with your GP and explain your fears

BOB

I'm not familiar with all the meds but the first one you mentioned is primarily used for bipolar, autism, and schizophrenia. Were you diagnosed with any of these conditions? If you're concerned about your medication certainly talk with your physician. You can also get a second opinion. In fairness, medication does take some time before it's fully effective. They usually encourage you to be on it for at least a month if not longer. But you know your body better than anyone. I started on Zoloft but knew I was experiencing side effects so I worked with my doctor and switched to a different medication.

No I wasn't diagnosed with anything yet but now I suffer more than before I don't know what to do I feel so hopeless until I meet my GP my symptoms change alot I'm in a brain fog 24/7 my head hurts and slurred speech I feel as I m where I started my anxiety 4 years ago I feel terrible I just want to know why I m misdiagnosed which 100% I m with schizophrenia cuz I hadn't a single symptom with it I took meds 10 days are they heavy meds? Have they destroyed my life? Cuz I don't think I'm fine and since I stared taking these drugs I m scared of social places meeting people insomnia fear of open places as streets its really destroying my life any advice will be granted sad I m sensitive to sound and light and eye floaters are there what is this

Zoloft didnt suit me either, what did you find helped you?

Nothing as helped yet but looking forward to some antidepressant

Nothing as helped yet but looking forward to some antidepressant

I heard chamomile tea works wonder i m also looking forward to it

Max, I have all the same symptoms as you, dont feel like going out, meeting people, shopping etc.  My nerves are so on edge sounds scare me.  Wasnt like this before meds. He tried risperidone and i felt i was going mad, had to stop it. I think i am misdiagnosed.  See my dr in three weeks, dont know how ill manage. When will you see dr to get something better?

Exactly! I also felt I m going mad it wasn't like that before meds for me either I m seeing the same GP as he can answer why he gave me these meds in a week or after some days! But I do hope I get better even if my anxiety and depression are in its peak can u tell me how u coped with it or how u managed after being on them I was on them only for 3-4 days and on small doses and it was too much as I m off it I feek ok

Felt terrible on it and only days. Came off and felt better but still not fixed.

Its a drug for bipolar not anxiety! Stupid drs

Yes its for bipolar

Dr are stupid if they prescibe them so easily

I'm so much depressed and feeling terrible symptoms but fine as I'm not on them anymore

What medications are you on after them?

Mirtazapine. Not great, been trying for a while now looking for alternative

Hi ann

Are you better now

I m not any better and my memory is getting terrible

Have ditched the mirtazapine now and just going through withrawals. Hoping it will resolve given time.  These other meds are lethal. Never want to see them again

Sorry for the very delayed response but haven’t been in a while. I was given off label medication. I’m on lamotrogine and gabapentin as mood stabilizers and buspirone for my anxieties. It’s not perfect but I am much better. There are so many different medications available that it can take some time to find the right one but the bright side is there are endless options. It just takes a lot of patience but well worth it in the end.

Medication isn’t the only option for anxiety. Depending on the severity you can try a more natural approach - vitamins, supplements, herbs, change in diet, physical exercise.  A naturopath would be the appropriate person to meet with to discuss options. But if it is medication you choose, don’t be afraid to question your meds with your doctors. Feel free to research the medication and understand what it’s used for and how it can effect your mind and body.  Yoga and meditation is effective as well.

Can i ask you if the lamotrogine is for bipolar or just to help depression or is your main problem anxiety?  No good mix has been found for me and i am trying to research.
