hi I’m Jay Im 43 male. I went to doc about pain in lower right abdominal. had scan all was OK no symtoms just sum pain Now and again. I was asked to do I stool sample came back very low hemoglobin (anemic) . I did the worse thing and looked up on google. then a letter came from hospital to attend a colorectal surgery clinc. Mon 19 Oct. im total scared now I suffer from Heath anxiety too. also my sister of 50 last year had bowl cancer she is now all OK.. I do have blood when wipe but do have piles and Anal fissure now and again. any help be so good right now.
i’m sorry you’re going through this. I know how scary these things can be. so your doctor never said anything to you and then all of a sudden you got the letter? That doesn’t seem very professional. The doctor should explain to you why are you got the letter in the first place.
i’m thinking if you have time in the morning, call the doctor and ask why are you got the letter. They should’ve explain that to you. If your scan was clear, I don’t see why they would have sent that. They would just address the low hemoglobin. what kind of scan was it? a CT?
also please don’t Google because it will scare you for no reason. Whatever you read on there will not pertain to your individual situation. Also, if the blood you’re getting is bright red, it’s most likely due to your Fissure, . Which is very common.
when you talk to the doctor, if you havent already had a colonoscopy, ask about that because if colon cancer is in your family, you should get one and after that sounds like they recommend one every five years. If your doctor doesn’t recommend one I would find another doctor.
for now, relax your mind as best you can. There are some great relaxing meditations on YouTube that will make you feel calm and keep your mind on something. i usually fall asleep listening to them.
and remember, 99.9% of everything we worry about never actually happens. It’s just that our mind tends to go to the negative and we have to let that go. take care!
hi thanks for replying. I had a app today with colon Dr said Im going to have a colonoscopy done plus CT tap. plus I think I’m going through withdrawal symtoms from not having any more citalopram since chemist dint send any. im OK still worried .but not as much.
