Hi ive had anxiety since 2014 when my dad died very suddenly with no warning anything was wrong. I overcame with worst a year later after nearly loosing my kids as i just couldnt cope . ive had bad spells and alot of good spells throughout my anxiety time . Heres my issue yesterday i had to go to the dr. s as id had tummypain in the center of the upper tummy and it goes down to my belly button it honestly felt like i needed to poop and i had severe wind but yesterday was day 6. i get extremely extemely anxious and pulse of of 130+ while at the dr. as i panic they are gonna tell me awful news like cancer. So i laid down heart racing feeling out of breath and dizzy as per usual and the dr was examining my tummy then all of a sudden said wow i can really feel your aorta you shouldnt be able to so clearly and brushed It off then she said she was going to feel to see if my aorta was enlarged . So i sat up and she said ok im going to get you for a scan of your gallbladder and liver and they can also just have a look at your aorta! To say im panicked is an understatement i googled all yesterday and got myself in such a state that i have an enlarged aorta and its about to bust i dont even wanna move which is not ideal as i have 6 children youngest is 2 and eldest is 11 i also found out i was pregnant last week! Im 33 i do smoke diet is not the best. After googling the symptoms i started having a weird feeling up my left side like a pulsing feeling then backpain up the top im so terrorfied i havent eaten since the dr. s and im now convinced i have a ticking time bomb . Can anyone help? the dr said it was unusual to be able to see it and feel it so clearly but ive always been able to see atleast my tummys pulse also the fact my heart was racing out my chest due to being anxious surely it would be more pronounced?
sorry you are going through all of this fear and worry. Keep in mind that there are some doctors that just say things out loud when they are just scaring the patient. A lot of them say things that turn out to be not true. That happened to me when I took my grandson in for back pain. The doctor just came out and said he most likely has a tumor! That was BEFORE all the testing was done! He did not have a tumor after all. it was just back strain.
Some doctors just have poor bedside manner and really shouldn’t say things until the testing is done.!
i know it’s hard to relax right now, but the best thing you can do is find things to keep you busy until you get your testing done
and that includes staying off of Google! Looking up symptoms will just scare you and increase your anxiety for no reason. The things that you find on the Internet will most likely not pertain to your situation.
Do some long slow deep breathing exercises. That will decrease your panic and relax you more. Just keep yourself busy until you get the testing. Chances are, it’s nothing serious. I do hope you feel better soon ![]()
