Test results interpretation

Okay so I got tested for herpes regarding sexual encounters months ago and the negative rating was less than .90 and my results for hsv 1 was .56 and hsv 2 was .70. I had a low risk sexual encounter 4 weeks ago, are these scores a good indicator of that encounter as well or no?

I didn't even know they gave you percentages that's how unknown I am about the disease and that's horrible smh .

Thought It was as simple as you got it or you don't .

Yeah lol I looked at the details of my results and there's a category for negative, equivocal and positive. For my test equivocal was like between .90 and 1.10 or something. Greater than 1.10 was positive. I think it's your antibody count measure thingy

Yeah I didn't even get to look at my test . I was in a whole different city with they called me with the diagnosis ..

I have no idea about none of that .

Ask them to send you a scan. Worth knowing how and what they tested, as well as your result/score.

Depends when you tested and when that encounter occurred. You didn't provide a clear timeline.

Not a percentage but an index value that is compared against a reference range specific to the test brand in order to determine positive, negative or equivocal hsv status.
