Should I be tested for herpes even if i don’t have symptoms? I know I have oral herpes cause I’ve had cold sores since childhood, and I’ve read that this can sometimes cause false positives to occur. But since herpes are so common i’m afraid i could have it without knowing it. I’ve had unprotected sex a few times (mainly one night stands) and i’m so scared...
There has to be at least one reason why you would want to test for it. Either the other person was positive, or you've noticed a minor changed down there for yourself.
Its smart to get tested , that way if you do you don't pass it to someone unknowingly.

it’s been about two and a half months since my last encounter. i haven’t had any symptoms that i know of, i’m just scared because i had no idea how common herpes is and reading up about it has caused me to worry. none of the guys i’ve been with have it as far as i know but i guess it’s possible they could have it without knowing.
