hey

i was wondering - i did get bloodtests done and was positive for hsv-1 (coldsores) if i want to check if i also got it genital is the only way to know if i get
sores downthere?

yeah.. every year for.. 8-9 years

Then it’s very unlikely that you have hsv 1 genital.

It’s very very unlikely but not 100 % impossible i think. You could have been infected on both areas at the same time when you kiss someone with a herpes sore on the mouth and he/she gives you oral sex as well. But you have had cold sores for several years so I guess that you have had it since childhood.
