4 months today underwent TLHR. Life is so much better post op than I ever imagined. Some ups & downs but the trend has been remarkably positive. Good luck to those on the road to recovery and for those on the fence deciding if the surgery is right for you - I'll chime in with my opinion. Just turned 50 and I had lost hope of feeling "normal". Surgery has significantly eased a back problem while making a walk enjoyable.
It was though the help of this forum I was able to get through those first few weeks post op. Again, thank you for all the inspiring and/or darkly humorous stories of becoming a hipppie.
Great post ACU ONE! It is super to hear you are doing well and I definitely second your recommendation. Even going back for a second one. ππ¨
And the forum had a lot to do with making through the tough patches.

Thanks so much for the positive message! I 'm just over 3 weeks post-surgery but don't have nearly the pain I had before. I too have another one to go and although I can't say I 'm looking forward to it, I know I will be able to do so many more basic things as simple as walking my dog.
Reading this forum has been a real help in getting through some of the tough days. This and an incredibly patient, helpful husband.
Keep doing well!
Fiona
