Thank you to THR team and all advice from the hippie group

DEAR: MRS. PROFESSOR / Dr. S...my specialist hip joint specialist . The surgery team, recovery team, surgery nurses, PA's and offices staff, and the manufacturer representatives always prepared for every possible component to maintain integrity and strength required for each individual.

I have so many to thank. This letter of thanks and appreciation for everyone's dedication for my wellbeing  to my amazing talented team and Mrs DR. S, hip/knee specialist professor/doctor. And to the whole team involved in every complicated aspect of my care & surgery from the wonderful team who held my hand and encouraged me to do the impossible walk with the repaired broken femur, and  removal of 4 pseudo tumors and corrosion around the old metal implant . Finding the fracture in the greatertotancher area never showed up on the MRI's or X-rays, The removal of all the origional implants and three cuts along the femor bone for a new femor replacement the old implant was just 5 years old, the new femor had cable to fit around the femor bone to hold it all a in place until the bone heals. After revision surgery and all the complications you all were there keeping me calm with so much patience  Each one so important and essential to the successful out come of my hip revision. The recovery unit as well as the office staff & PA's with Dr S.Many thanks for your kind, positive words of encouragement, courteous and caring hearts.

MANY,THANKS to the hip specialist DR the hip surgical team, PA's, and the office staff. It takes a VILLAGE for a successful hip revision. Certainly proven in this case.

If it were possible I would be there hugging you all. This process has developed a special bond with each and every one of you.I know how complicated hip revision is, and appreciate all the planning, all the coordination with suppliers, assistants, communication networks it takes to achieve a successful out come.I am very appreciative and fortunate to have known you all.

You are an amazing team as I look back and remember my experiences with each of you. Everyone on the team and the office staff have demonstrated unyielding dedication to my care for many months. My experience with the whole team before, during and after recovery will always be highly regarded as professional and caring. All the Positive support along the way kept me going. With each of the members of the team and Dr S

I could not have made it thru revision surgery alone! The nurses my guardian angels were always there non stop nite & day keeping me out of harms way.

I remember each nurse, intern, assistant and PA as if it were yesterday. EACH one of you very clearly made a distinct impression thru my recovery at  and beyond. Each member will always be a good memory demonstrating what a impact each one made with my recovery! I haven't found the right words to express how grateful I am to the whole HIP TEAM and Dr. THANK YOU, does not seem to be enough.

I still remember each and every one of your smiling and enthusiastic faces, let's include the anestheiologist. All the professionalism and courage to always be there for me no matter how many melt-downs I had in recovery! Especially the nurses gave their all, the itching from pain meds nearly drove me mad.Their presence was especially calming during that time.It was a tricky balance !

Hello Renee my dear friend from beautiful Holland, with a heart ❤️ of gold.

I know you have had a difficult time. And I truly hope that you can resolve all the issues to regain a better quality of life. You are always here for all the hippies here you & are full of information and support. I thank you so very much for your unconditional encouragement .

It was not all easy for me from the very beginning in 2011 when my hip implant was recalled I had many issues LLD ,  pseudo  TUMORS , BROKEN greatertotancher  femor that never showed up in 5 years of  MRI'S or X-rays, as well as cobalt poison levels and chromium in blood and tissue. That never showed the fracture or loosening of the femor implant thru the higher levels of dangerous coblal levels. I also had 1 " 3/4 LLD.as well as developed  Scoliosis caused from this and ankylosis fusion lower back discs. spurs on greatortotancher.I was using a cane for 5 years which caused Dupuytrens contracture as my Hands closed up like a clam could not straighten fingers from the cane pressure and shoulder is is now bone on bone.

The original surgeon left the state had no expplination  until I heard on the news the hip was recalled due to failure. Could not put all my weight in the left leg or lift a gallon of milk.,yet I had suffered the last year in bed unable to not even walk,as my pain complaints were ignored by three hip  Specialists.

IT was not a easy journey 5 and 1/2 years full off loss of guality of life and lifestyle. Yet I pushed thru and faced what seemed to be impossible and had revision 6 years later .no matter how many times my severe pain was ignored. There is HOPE IT CAN BE A BETTER QUALITY OF LIFE . IT

was not a walk in the park a lot of ups and downs.IN MOST ,cases it can be repaired. The surgeon and the whole team is what makes the difference. I never took no for an answer and contacted the manufacturer for a referral, for a revision and asked for the  prequesites necessary and a referral THR surgeon in my area, and  the possibility of a successful revision team.

i know too that most patients can have a better quality of life even you can push thru to a revision.  remember not all issues muscle tendon ors nerves all show up,  my broken femor or loosened femor did not show up on MRI's or X-rays.forv5 years, Become your own self advocate and you too can achieve a  better quality of life, it is possible. I was lucky that what happened could be repaired by skillets surgeons and I never look back because I know things could have been a lot worse,

take care sweet renee.. Hope xxx
