Thanks Hipsters - about to go in

About to go in for surgery feeling very calm and confident.

Will Post my experience afterwards.

Cheers

Happy drugs coming soon, best sleep ever!!! See ya on the flip of the hip!!

Heartfelt wishes for an excellent operation, surgeon with steady hands and patience, kind nurse and good family and friends to support you.

And keep thinking of the bone on bone pain - gone! Yay.

Looking forward to your first 'official hippie' post.

Best of Luck.

Oh lots of best wishes.  Enjoy the drugs - no need for a space rocket for you, so enjoy the 'journey'!

Morning John

Sending you the best wishes ,you'll wake to find all that terrible pain gone.

Hugs 😁

You will be surprised at how well you feel depending on whether you had g.a.or spinal injection and sedation. Best of luck. The worst is over.

Hi dear John,

good luck --- sending light and healing to you, your loved ones and surgical team -

you are in good hands , and yes, the worst is over ..

looking forward to your first post-op post ...

big warm hug

Good luck!!!

Good luck John. By the time you read this, your op will be over, just the recuperating to do. Xx

Thanks all. Out of recovery.

All went well.

Discomfort but no real pain thanks to meds.

Feel very groggy. Will Post more later.

Welcome back and congratulations. I hope the anaesthetic clears quickly for you - nasty stuff (it had me imagining 'killer fruit flies' swarming me)!😵😱😨

But flash forward and I am 6 months and as 'normal' as I personally can be and waiting for my next THR in September.and feeling good about it (mostly).

I hope your hospital stay is good and that you get home safely to your home and family and friends waiting to support you (my husband did a very persausive 'Nurse Ratched' for me) 😲 And don't fight it - you won't be independent for a while and will need the help. So accept it and help them understand (in clear terms) how best to help.

Wishing you all the best.

Linda

Good luck John. I am 4 days post second hip and each day better and better.

I wish you all the best and a speedy recovery xx
