Update from Minnesota: Brr. lol
Just a bit of good news to lighten the day from me. Some of you know I've been going through the trenches. Over-eager therapists, over-eager me, the lovely psoas tendonitis which made lifting my leg extremely painful.. all the fun stuff!
I had an injection last week into my psoas tendon with ultra-sound (mildly uncomfortable, but not painful). It took 3 days to start working, but a week later I can say it wiped out the problem 100%.
That has made my exercises easier, walking more comfortable, activities that involve lifting the leg feel almost normal. So, with all that, and after having a week to really get back into my exercises, my therapist graduated me today with a finger shaking stern faced but happy voiced warning to keep working hard.
Still lots of work to get my body back into shape, but I can say to anyone feeling miserable and thinking this is life forever, that it is not. Things get better, even if it feels like those setbacks are the last straw. I don't know if you've ever seen a hay or straw bale, but there's no such thing as the last straw.
So that's me this week. You're all wonderful people. Keep those spirits high, even on the days where you'd rather be a peg-legged pirate =)

When. You gonna be diving again tho
I have been driving since I was given the okay at my 2 week followup from doctor and therapist both, as long as I didn't have any narcotics in my system.
I had my left hip done and drive an automatic, so they weren't concerned at all.
Right.. I can read, honest lol. Hopefully this summer, but we'll see! I usually don't go until august around my birthday so I should be back in shape by then!
My uncle wants to take me out to Guam, where I've always wanted to dive. Exciting!
I'm going to Jamaica in March and hoping to get some swims in. Maybe just a bit of snorkelling to start with. Don't feel I'm up to proper dives at the moment still you never know been pool swimming these last couple of weeks.
Awesome!
The snorkeling there is okay, but if you can manage a dive down to 60 feet, there is amazing coral just off the north coast there. It's right on the edge of a trench so very fun thinking of everything going on below you while you're down there.
It's a pretty popular destination, so you can get a guide to the best spots easily.
Hi Rob
Good to hear your news and that you dont have that terrible pain anymore.
Take care and keep on exercising!

Hi! What about "breaking the camel's back"?
Such great news! I also had that same injection but to no avail because my problem was that my new hip device has loosened and was migrating around touching every nerve possible and making me scream. I changed surgeons and had a revison and am also doing well.
Keep up the good work!
