Hi I am 20 weeks post TKR. I have noticed an alarming increase in other joint pains. The opposit hip and knee, elbows, even fingers. Has anyone else had this experience. Iknow there are compensatory developments but this seems a bit unusual.
Have my 6 month visit with the surgeon in May, can't get anything earlier.
Certainy I have finger and shoulder pain, and intermittent pain in the hip . . .not unbearable pain, but annoying. The 'good' knee also twinges especially on climbing stairs . . . not sure if it's just old age, or whether the operation actually does upset other areas. . .Fingers and shoulders could have caused by using crutches I suppose. . .hip by not moving properly . . .In your case, I think it depneds on how extreme the pain is whether it's a cause of investigation. could be arthritis? Fibromyalgia? Why don't you see the GP if you can't get to see the surgeon . . . Hope it resolves soon. Read your info . .wow, well done for losing all that weight! I must follow suit!!!
