The many faces of Vertigo

Hello group, Just wanted to chime in and say that my vertigo used to be complete rotational vertigo in the beginning. Now it's the zig zag wobbly kind where everything is moving up and down, side to side and such, I have also had vision problems for along time now, things are blurry, kinda like looking through saran wrap. Neurologist says nerve damage is causing this issue. Eye doctor says damaged nerve endings, so my next question for him was "what caused the nerve damage in my eyes" he says excessive pressure in my head from migraines and meniere's. Rack up another one for meniere's

Hello Bertman

Oh my . . . If it's not one thing it's another . . .

Stay happy.

Hello Sharon, You are right, it seems to be a daily learning process, that's for sure. I will take your advice and stay happy. The one single thing that battles the symptoms the best is my attitude. Bertman

Exactly Bertman . . .

Bertman, have you ever been checked for TMJD? Do you have any history of jaw clicking or pain?

Hello Christina, You have discovered one thing I don't have, The only time I ever had jaw pain has been from a wisdom tooth, Hopefully someone in the group can add some helpful information.

Thanks for the post, Bertman

Hey haha, I asked in case there was an obvious connection, but I hadn't had any jaw pain either before - I really recommend doing some googling - if you have Facebook there's a really great group with people who were diagnosed with Meniere's with no jaw pain but dizziness. Doctors aren't trained to accept a connection between TMJ and dizziness but there certainly is one. Let me know if you do and you'd like the link just out of curiosity!

Hello Christina, The link information would be great, I am always willing to learn something new

I really really hope that this offers you some new avenues to explore, and hopefully even some relief from your symptoms! The group is called " Meniere's Vertigo Tinnitus TMJ : Meniere's no more chat and support group ", just type it into the facebook search and ask to join. I've learned more from that group than I have from any doctor so far who have resigned me to a life of constant dizziness. I've booked in to see a TMJ specialist on Monday and will let you know if I get a diagnosis.

Hello Christina, Thank you
