After much research I stared to use a Tens unit on my left cheek where the pain is and the other electrode on the base of the neck on the trigiminal nerve. It helped put my TN into remission. There is a tens unit for TN called pain shield sold on the internet.
Hi friend. I read your posts about the odd little sticks you get when you get on this site. I have found that reading for extended periods, especially on my cell phone screen, brings on TN ticks and shocks. It doesn’t take very ling and I just rest my eyes before going back to it. I can browse pictures online but reading and typing on my phone brings on a TN response. The same thing happens when i’m doing random things that require little thought but are repetitive. When i was putting up our artificial Christmas tree and doing the dreaded task of folding out all the little branches after being in storage all year. Like other tasks, this task was simple but it was repetitive movements, (like typing text messages) requiring little thought but i was full blown TN attack before i could even finish. It sounds strange, i know. Not sure if this is what you experience but just thought i would share it. Hope you are well. Take care and God Bless.
