The Truth of what the Coalition has done to 84% of sick and disabled claimants in the UK!

Hi Everyone,

I am a firm believer on how disgraceful disabled people have been treated in the UK with this Tory/LibDem gov't, I expect you to have noticed this has gone for far too long. I like many others will never vote for Tory ever, David Cameron is like they say a Devil in disguise, and even voted as the worst PM to run this country ever! This says a lot, not to mention the lies that the public have been fed making them feel depressed, etc. The media have also printed stories that make many disabled or sick people feel literally not worth living. To me, and many people I have spoken to on this forum and via private message, there is one thing that stands out is many cases and that this government has made so many people depressed and unable to cope financially. This should not be the case at all, the sooner this Tory coalition is out the better.

As you know the General Election in the UK is less than 100 days from us. A website that deals with claiments of benefits and work ran a vote over the past week, but it was not just a vote, they asked people their views on the current Coalition Government and how they have been affected, over the past few years not just financially but healthwise as well.

I hope you will vote in this Election just to demolish what the Coalition has done to us. We deserve better, David Cameron and his cronies are for themselves.

If you read this far then I urge you to read the following... if you vote.

Hi Les,

I have replaced the quoted full articles you pasted with links to the site in case there are any copyright issues. In cases like this please link to the original site - as long as the site doesn't breach T&Cs the post will be approved.

Hi Alan,

Thanks for that, I was wondering how that would come off, I know placing links in normal posts from this site is moderated straight away, I will keep you informed on any others in future. The current news on disabled and the sick people is drastic, which is what I want to get across. I subscribe to that site you mentioned that is why I posted such an article.

Many people on these forums are unaware of why their PIP, DLA or ESA claims are denied, the fact is they deny mental issues as not eligible, therefore it is unfair to the claiment in such cases.

Again, much appreciated for you intervening and correcting the details with links.

Regards,

Les.

I've noticed Les! They've put more resources into trying to prove that I don't need help rather than in helping me which would cost less.

HI Georgia,

Fancy seeing meeting you here! wink  That is the truth and the facts that we are not told by the media is very much unreal. It's like ATOS paid £30k for using paramedics not Health Care Workers like was stated in the press. Maximus is different they are paid double that rate because they want to use Occupational Therapists, hence more money. And this is Iain Ducan Smith's idea of getting people back to work!!

The word is out that more claiments will be out in force and against any Tory or LibDem vote, LibDems because they did not stick up for anything and have no backbone...

In my case, and I expect many others will feel the same, Tories will be out in May, not in like Cameron thinks he will be, he has already further nasties up his sleeve, if he gets back in and again targetting the disabled!

Regards,

Les.

has anybody asked the question how much did it cost to impliment the changes and how long before they see a real saving .NO.

because the truth is its cost a bloody fortune and it is highly likely that your not to see a return on the layout  for at least a decade if not a lot longer.

its just to sway voters because so many middleclass and upper middle classes see us as scroungers .so the goverment can rely on there votes by gettting at people who are the most vunerble in our socity . BLOODY STINKS .

off corruption, and the sad thing is the ones who really are swindling the system will keep getting away with it because there clever, it will be the honest ones that will loose out .

if i loose mine i will not sign for unemployment because i am not fit ,

whos going to employ me when i fall asleep with out warning , cant sit or stand for more than 20/30 mins with out pain and going numb. gets dizzy spells, ,sensistive bladder ,and bouts of  i  b s. not to mention the fatigue and constant acheing blurred vision .its a joke no ones going to employ me .so i will end up with nothing and so will many others

Chant, chant, chant, Tories wil be out in May and Hawkwind will be back in!!! Sorry I got carried away. cheesygrin

You hit the nail on the head there Tiswas... Corruption being very apt.

If you look carefully around the net, you find documents that were not to be published, and kept from the public eye! It's these documents that prove what a corrupt government we are under. The media say various things, but they are only fed facts after careful consideration by the government.

Take last year and the whistleblower that was in the news flying around numerous countries, we are informed he was a special whistleblower!! Making people think it was a good read to follow.... The truth is there is many whistleblowers on our own doorsteps, in the UK. Yes, they are told not to inform anyone of email contents, etc. But they will for a price, or what is coming out lately is whisteblowers that do not think the information they have been told should be kept secret, hence details are posted in places, but no one informs the media, or if they did, what would be the circumstances??

LOL @ Georgia! Now, we are in a Wayback machine! wink

MAYBE I SHOULD HAVE SAID CORRUPTION AND PROPERGANDA

Les, thank you. That I as a taxpayer am involved in this appalling travesty of Social Security for the disabled is deeply troubling. Of course if we buy anying with some exceptions we are tax payers. We are all involved by our association as providers of the money the Government of the day uses and misuses. How we vote may mitigate our involvment or exacerbate our guilt.

Yeah Tiswas!

Hi George,

There are so many loopholes in our system, when it comes to Tax. Many people do not realize they exist.

My wife get's Carers Allowance for looking after me at just over £60.00 per week.

That in itself is a Taxable Amount and taken into consideration when applying for Child Tax Credit.

So, straight away my wife is taxed on that stupid amount per week.

Now, I get

Contribution-based Employment and Support Allowance, within the Support Group

Again this is a Taxable Amount when Child Tax Credit is involved.

So, in theory My wife and I should both pay tax. That is how most people see it, and that is how Child Tax Credit sees it.

But it is wrong!!!

I queried it and even the person at the Child Tax Credit was confused, she said I need to check this with my Supervisor, I thought fair enough, then she came back on the phone and said, I need to check this with my Manager!

I said sure I can wait, there is no rush. Eventually, she returned and said you are correct, you are EXEMPT from paying Tax on your Allowance. She removed £1,477 from my name as it should not have been taken in to account.

She even said to me that no one has ever asked that question before, which is why her supervisor did know either.

So, it just goes to show that if you know your way and rights, things are not all as they seem.

What get's me is how many Disabled people are being Taxed when they should not be! So, many people never read the small print - these days that statement is becoming a place where people do not realize what they are really entitled to.

Regards,

Les.

I guess I should really do a write-up on this, and ask Alan to Pin in on Benefits. Unless, you know all the requirements and how they affect you, no one else tells you these things.

Then the HMRC Child Tax Credit will have many people phoning them all about the same thing!

That's the trouble these days, Information Technology only works if the information is sent to people or made aware by some other means.

Perhaps, Les, that is why it's small print. But seriously that is entirely disgraceful. I expect it is stupid of me to suppose the counter clerks and phone bank clerks are expert in their subjects.

well its bleeding obvious they are going to pick on us we dont have the power they have or the energy to kick up a stink. easy pickings us .

they ought start charging for stiching people up after fight and pub brawls

at week end . like they do in some countries . you get your self in it why should the tax man foot the bill most cost a fortune.

From my experience.... nothing is 100% foolproof, there's always loopholes - finding them is another matter though.

If everything was foolproof on the internet, you wouldn't have hackers - it only takes a couple of people to take sites offline... they use other peoples computers to launch attacks. Basically, all making page requests but thousands a second!!

People think by throwing stuff in their Desktop Recycle Bins and emptying it means its all gone! They would be definately wrong, because all the does is remove the file reference not the actual file. Someone could come along and reverse the process and get the whole lot back.

Now, George is searching on how to do it... wink

Regards,

Les.

No. not quite Les. I know in principle a very small change and . . Pooff . . .and the file is no longer a file. Restore the little bit of info and . . . . voila . . . there is the file again.  But I am no longer as curious as I was. I was always more interested in application than in how the tool worked.

Les ~

Prayers sent with hopes people will take this seriously and vote!  Good Luck to you!

Warmly,

Frustrated
