i am 3 weeks post op, when i get up from a chair and walking i get a ache at the side of my thigh as if the hip is trying to push out side ways, and yet after a little while it will go off i did wonder if it is just a lot of bruising, all i do know is that when i came round i only had one drain in but had two drain holes, when asked the nurse practioner at the drs she said it could be because i had a bit of trumour in that area
It could be your back. I get the same at around belt level. But if you are worried about it ring your surgeon'secretary.
I had that feeling alot too. I am now 3 1/2 months out and that feeling has gone, most of the time. I will get better.

It is possible that the whole hip thing is still settling after being manipulated -
mine are still tender on both sides -
it is so fragile and we just don;t realize it sometimes -
just take your time - I am still doing almost everything in slooooowwwww motion -
