Thigh pain

Hi, I had RTHR done June 28th I have been doing good, but now my thigh hurts and is slightly swollen. And feel like nerve pain in lower leg. Is this normal? I have only seen my surgeon at 6 weeks and not scheduled again until Dec for 6 month check. I hate to call if this is normal. I thought Id be pain free by now.

Any thoughts?

Hi Lorrena.

I had my RTHR done on 13th July and I am walking well with no pain. I think you need to speak to the surgeon/hospital.

I had my right hip done June 14 went back to work after 12 weeks as a pipe welder. My quad and glutes and scar are still sore and s little swollen. 16 weeks now. My pt girl tells me it's normal. The mussel and soft tissue takes months she said. Good luck and go easy if you can

That's good to know. I went back to work at 7 weeks, I clean homes so that might have something to do with it. Are you still doing exercises.

hi lorrena, what kind of pain is it ? when did you start going back to your job? cleaning houses is a very physical job that requires a lot from a body and, to be honest, yours might not be completely healed ----if it is a constant pain you are experiencing I would make an appointment with mjy surgeon , just to make sure that everything is still in place -please let us know how you are getting on, okay and if possible, take it easy ...big warm hugrenee
