Just think if you felt this way before and you go through it you can get through it again have you recently lost anyone family or friends and are you on any medication or councling to help it sound like your anxiety is getting hold of you and making you depressed the same as me

No no one had died Yeh doctors gave me beta blocks to try calm me down just can't get it off my mind so Scarry Yeh last time a was at docs every day for 2 weeks cause a was that bad

Is it propranolol your on I was on this and it made me worse cause all it does is slow your hheart rate down and this made me worse so I came off them they prescribe them to people with aniexty because there heart races during an attack it stop heart racing but does nothing for the mind go to doctors and say your need citalopram as it works as a panic disorder anxiety and depression

its not silly its how you are feeling and you have come here for help and suport which you will always get,it sounds like you are having Panic attacks ,my sister used to think she was going to die every day and struggled holding a job ,Numerous appointments with the doctor never helped her until it became unbearable to go out and she read a article someone had same for 20 years which was a turning point and from home (internet ) she collected lots of information on medication on self help ,she now has a University degree and a good job so you can do something to change how you feel dont think you have to feel the way you do and we are here for suport

Yeh shelby that's them a had citalopram before but had bad side affect off them for 3 weeks made me fell worse

Thanks eli a suffer from panic attacks anxiety and depression but it's just the thought off dying all the time it's horrible a fell daft asking ppl for help x

Please dont feel daft for asking for help it feels real that you are going to die but the fact is no one has ever died with a panic attack ,my sister thought she was going to die when she was making a burger one day she was so convinced ,but that how you brain can project them thoughts ,when you master the art of how to stop them then they seem silly but for now they are a reality and you have 2 beautiful children who need there mum

Thanks eli ano that's watt am scared off watt if a die how's going to have my kids a don't want to leave them do young that's watt gose on in my mind keep thinking am going to die 24/7 just can't seem to get it out my head

I know how you are feeling as i have suicidal thoughts every day at the moment so i come on here to keep my mind posative and help others and my sister constantly tells me think happy remember happy moment focus on that she makes me have a nap and listen to meditation Paul Mkenna bless her lol but to be honest it is helping and there is a light at the end of the tunel. i know it is different from thinking you are going to die in a panic attack but on the same hand its the same treatment to overcome if that makes sense Maggie

maggie, no need to feel silly. Anxiety attacks will make you feel like you are going to die, but it is just a feeling. If you have seen a medical Dr and you are fine and he does blood tests and he cannot find anything life threatening, then tell him you are afraid and cannot sleep at night and ask him for a referral to a therapist and get in to see one to see what the underlying cause is. Anxiety is helped by a therapist

yes there must be a underlying cause ,i know what mine is so i avoid it at the moment as it triggers so i keep my mind busy i another direction so i would agree at this point to see a therapist and find out what is triggering it then you can adress the problem so it would be worth a visit to the doctor because these things take time you could be waiting a few months but until then we are here every day so dont worry you are not alone

Thanks part from thinking am dying our going to die all the time 24/7 am ok x thanks for help

Maggie, I'm so sorry you're going throug this, and no need to feel silly. I'm sure you realise that you're not really going to die suddenly. I can see from your posts that you've had yourself checked out physically, which is a good idea.

But have you had any other help? It sounds to me as if you would really benefit from CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy). This is a kind of therapy that helps you look at why all this is happening and then deal with it for yourself. You might need to take a mild anti-anxiety drug at first, but CBT will help you move away from chemical support.

I don't know which country you're in, but if it's the UK I know CBT is available on the NHS, though waiting lists can be quite long. I really think it would be worth your while to go back to your GP and ask for a referral. Under British law you can insist that your GP refer you to a specialist, though many try to avoid this.

Do you have a support system to take care of your kids, in the event anything did happen to you? I'm not saying anything is going to, but this is something most parents would want to set up anyway, in case of an accident for example. Do you have a partner, or parents who would be able to step in? Sometimes just knowing that everything is under control can help lift your anxiety.

But do go back to your GP and ask about some kind of therapy, preferably CBT, for your kids' sake as well as your own.

Yeh lily a have a husband it's just horrible don't no why a fell like this worse part is the dying bite plus I also get this felling that bye body has changed my head fells so havy every time a wake up then a stay to fell sick n shake a We Bite is this normal for the head part thanks

Sounds like you are having panic attacks. You need to probably speak with your doctor if they are all the time. Panic attacks are manageabke but you need to be able to be relaxed enough to work them through. They are symptoms from your adrenal glands releasing fight or flight into your body. And this can cause all kinds of weird symptoms. During a oanic attack tell yourself whatever is happening is from this panic attack and accept the weirdness of it all but do not believe any of it. Learn cbt and definetly learn how to belly breathe. You can do this and you will but best to speak to your doctor

Hi lisalisa67 it's not panic attacks it just the thought off dying all the time of aim going to die any minute that's scarring me it's on my mind 24/7 am not taking any meds because off side affects it make me more scared thanks for your help just wish the thoughts would go away am even scared when a go to the docs our hospital in case thay say am going to die just so scared
