Alright I get this huge thud in chest that kinda takes my breath away once and then it's normal but I get scared. What can this be. Doctors said it's anxiety but I don't know about that. I also have stomach problems gastritis sliding hernia acid reflux etc. they say it's anxiety but truly I'm almost at a point where I wanna give up
A huge thud? Is it like a jumping rabbit heartbeat? That's a arrhythmia. If not I don't know. Get a second opinion from another doctor. Don't ever give up another doctor can figure out the cause of this. Good Luck.👍
I get it too it's scary but mine I know is anxiety or fatigue. My heartbeat sometimes feels like a jumping rabbit. Like it will pop out of my chest. Anxiety causes this too I believe. There's many forums online about this sensation you mention clarifying it's Anxiety. Take care and try mindfulness, walking, breathing exercises. Hope someone can help you more.👍
Just needed to add something else I also get this when I drink cold soda. I believe it's the caffeine. Just in case you drink this too. Best of Luck
Ooow, yep, that sounds like anxiety. So you want to get yourself a stomach acid blocker like nexeum or equal (script by doctor) and probably some lexapro, Celexa, or Effexor (or maybe a beta blocker) ask your doctor. Now these meds take time to build up in your system before they can help you. So it's important you get something for calming you now and the time it takes for the anxiety meds to start work. Think about 4 - 6 weeks for the anxiety meds to kick in, so ask the doctor for adavan, kalonipin or xanex to help you immediately.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm I experience something similar but it makes me gasp for air. Happens unexpectedly. Doc wants me to have a sleep apnea test. I too have a small stomach hernia and get acid reflux every now and then.
I'm not sure what you mean by a "huge thud." Can you describe it? Heart palpitation type feeling?
I agree with you totally. Finding the right doctor and therapist who are sympathetic and open minded are essential to beating this disorder. Open minded to know when meds are not working and compassionate enough to have you try other meds if something is making the patient uncomfortable over a duration of time. Some doctors are stead fast stubborn because one med worked for this other patient that it is absolutely going to work for you. That's not how it works and if they are worth a salt they should know this. Remember, especially psychiatrists, get kick backs from drug companies to push certain drugs on the patients, even hand you free samples in some cases. I don't like these doctors and they don't have the patients best interest in mind, only their own wallets.
I agree with you too.👍I couldn't have said it better. I have always asked my psychiatrist for Valium but he never wanted to prescribe it to me. He just kept me on the same medication even though I told him it didn't help me at all. A drug company was probably paying him.Greedy people. I've heard Valium is cheap no wonder he didn't want to prescribe it. He wasn't going to make money. Makes sense.
