This HAS to be something else. Right?

My boyfriend and I have been together for about 9 months, and just earlier this week, maybe 4-5 days ago I noticed my vulva was very sensitive to touch. Like very tender, and I had yeast infection prior to this, and I thought maybe my skin was just a little raw from obsessively scratching. I thought nothing of it and later that night, my boyfriend and I had sex in a hot tub. The next day I kept getting these shocks of pain, that would take my breath away! I tried going to work and I had to leave mid day because I couldn't take the agony anymore. So I went to (not my regular) obgyn, and she said it looked like the beginning stages of genital herpes. Naturally devastated, I starting thinking of all the possibilities of how I could've gotten it. I've never had a cold sore in my life, I've never kissed someone with a cold sore. I know my boyfriend would rather cut off his own arm rather than cheat on me.. so then how? If it is herpes, how could it have stayed in my system for so long without showing symptoms? This is the first time something like this has happened to me down there.

After the doctor perscribed me valtrex, I started noticing more white spots along my  vulva, and more possible blisters along the outside lips with some inner swelling. Also troubling amount of discharge coming from my vagina. It's a pale yellow, and it's literally like oozing out of me. I also feel as if my ovaries are swollen, they also feel very tender..

Mostly I'm just terrified of what the blood results will say.. and I don't get that till Friday! (Today being Monday) waiting is pure torture, I can't sleep, can't eat.. my boyfriend knows something's wrong. I'm so scared.

If it is herpes, your bf can absolutely carry it unknowingly, and the proper igg blood test won't reveal anything herpes-related in you if this is a new infection. Igm test is worthless. Swab test is best, even if it's not herpes, given your discharge issues.

Thank you, I will certainly ask for a swab test when I go in next!
