So I had a chest pain last night that I wrote about earlier.. It was sharp in the middle of my chest, to where I was certain this was it.. Well after more discomfort today and some other symptoms, I went to the ER. Turns out I had a miscarriage that hasn't expelled yet. They gave me an ekg, said it was normal along with the bloodwork I guess. But now the chest pain keeps randomly coming and going. Not sure if i have stuck gas or what's going on.. But i have an appt tomorrow with my obgyn so the anxiety with that mixed with the chest pain is driving me insane tonight. I can't calm down enough to sleep. What could possibly be doing all of this to me?
Im so sorry!! See what transpires at the obgyn. Maybe after the miscarriage expels this will improve, again so sorry.

I think what you have is called 'referred pain'. Your uterus is contracting, just as it does during labour, and trying to get the baby, however tiny, out.
The nerves supplying the uterus also supply other parts of the body, so you're feeling the pains of labour, in your heart.
And why shouldn't you? A child is involved here. Too much pain when you know you're having a miscarriage means go back to the ER for some heavy-duty pain medication, and seeing an Ob/Gyn right away. I'm shocked they even sent you home.

Thank you both. In reality I knew i was chancing my health major because both pregnancies I've had major complications. But just knowing I couldn't protect a baby that was inside me sends a weird kind of emotions to my mind.. Just sucks. And they tried telling me that I might have to expel it on my own and not do the D&C. Knowing I have a history of hemorrhaging, I was a bit shocked they sent me too. Hopefully it goes well today and they get me in asap.
