I had unprotected anal sex, receptive with a guy i dont know (i was drunk its not something i do often) I dont know his status, within 36 hours id gone and got PEP - i finished the course, a week later i got a sore throat which has now been going on for 2 weeks, and slights swollen glands in my neck that come and go. Could this be ARS?
its very unlikley that its ARS if u started the PEP within 72 hours of exposure u should be ok i think u may be worrying over nothing u could always take a test to be sure at about 12. weeks post exposure
also u have to wait 28 days after PEP to test hope that helps
as with all medications there is a risk there that it might not work bearing that in mind a test is the best option good luck
