Thr

I had my left hip THR in April of this year, not doing too bad.

The problem is,  a couple of months now the right side of my upper leg going down towards my knee i have this Burning feeling. ( none opp leg)

Dont know if anyone have this problem.

Any tips would be helpful on what to do.

I had bad pins and needles i my non op leg for ages....settled down eventually...still get it occasionally now at 6 months later.....surgeon says it can take 2 years to fully adjust!!

Haven't had it post THR but had something similar years ago. Turned out to be nerve irritation from arthritis in lower spine. If you look on the net for sensory maps of spinal nerves you can see if the outline of your burning follows one of them - probably lumbar 1 - if it does then physio or a visit to a well qualified chiropractor or osteopath might help but I would leave the latter two for a few more weeks and check up on them very, very carefully. I went to a chiropractor but it was well before I had any joint replacements and it did help me.

Thank you Rose, I'll do that.

Thank you for your information Crissy. It's just the burning in my upper leg. I dont know if it's because i sit/ sleep on that side as i can't sleep on the opp side.

Carmen, I have had the burning also you could have some bursitis which is

inflamation in the joints . For years before my hip replacement on the left side also

I favored my left side sometimes we dont even know we are favoring one side over the other . Im working on this in physical therapy Im 9 months post op I had revised total hip replacement done . I was born with Hip Displasia the revised is alot harder recovery . I have learned to take one day at time and our diet does play big roll with inflamation in the body . Hang in there it will get better
