Lynne,

We all had the same jitters as you...but I think we all can say it was not as bad as we expected.

I'm l4 weeks post op, no pain,(slight limp) but trust me the first few weeks you will think your day will never come - but it will!!!

Best of luck,

Patricia from Toronto Canada

Lynn,

Just let it go and give it to God if you are a believer. That's what I had to do so I wouldn't freak out. Worked really well for me. It was my first surgery ever.

Hopefully you have a surgical team you trust and it will be over before you know it.

Take care and God bless.

Kathee

Sure you can sleep.Hopefully you will be able to get some I'm. Well be paying for you in the morning lynne.

You will do great!  Good luck!

Hi Lynne

My alarm was just going off for 7.30am as I found this post.

You'll be there now......hope its a morning appointment not afternoon.

I had to be there at the same time for both of my THR's but one was the morning {about 10am} the other was the afternoon......{about 3pm when I got taken.]

Hope you did manage to sleep last night ....on your side like everyone sayscheesygrin

Looking forward to hearing how it went

Love

Hope all has gone well today and that you have a good recovery.

You'll be fine Lynne.

I was like that when i went in for mines but it's all in the past now. just take a day at a time. It's not as bad as what it sound like.

Good Luck!

Good luck. Hope the surgery went well.

now 5 hours post opp, feeling great, no pain, wide awake, great nurses, great surgeon, the whole thing was toally painless, woopee!

So glad it went well, Lynne! Afraid to say you are probably still anaesthesised but do take all of the pain relief that is offered to you! I'm 14 weeks post op and walking normally completely pain free! Listen to your body; don't overdo things but do grit your teeth and get active as soon as possible doing the exercises and short walks! It worked for me!  I feel like a "new woman!!"
