I have white lines/patches on both sid s of my tongue, looks worse ear the back. It’s been there for 5 years now and my doctor said it was thrush but the treatments she has given me did not work. At times it gets a bit sore and it’s not always as white as other times, it’s like it comes and goes but doesn’t always go away. Could this be tongue cancer? Can tongue cancer come and go in appearance?
Angela, Sorry to hear your going through the thrush aggrevation. I have and still have the same thing that you are describing. I went to a specialist about my problem and had biopseyes and all kinds of other testing. They have assured me that it's not cancer. I have been using the medicine called nystatin and gentian violet. They keep it from comeing back for awhile but it never really goes away. I thought I was the only one with this issue, because I have alot of other health problems and take alot of medicine. I really hope you find a permanant cure.
I also have little black color dents(not white color) on both sides of my tongue. better to go for a doctor
