My daughter cut her thumb pretty good with a kitchen knife on a downward angle. She needed 9 stiches. Had them taken out 7 days later and everything looked good. Will be 2 weeks since removed but she says it's still very painful and tender. Everything is healing fine. Is this normal to still have pain?
She may have some nerve damage and takes time to heal. Has the surgeon done a follow up ? Sometimes other tests may be necessary if pain has not receded .
